Lookout Mountain is a mountain ridge located at the northwest corner of Georgia, the northeast corner of Alabama, and the southeastern state line of Tennessee. It makes up a large portion of the southern end of the Cumberland Plateau. Lookout Mountain is considered to be the “hidden gem” of Chattanooga suburbs. In addition to the convenience of being just minutes from Downtown Chattanooga, you will never run out of scenery.

The caves of Ruby Falls and the formations of Rock City are located on Lookout Mountain. The area is home to the Incline Railway, Covenant College, and even a hang gliding school. Lookout Mountain is one of Chattanooga’s most visited tourist attractions. Civil War related landmarks include Point Park and the Cravens House. Other attractions include Cloudland Canyon, Cloudland Canyon State Park, and beautiful Sunset Rock.

Fun fact: There is a marker in Rock City that claims seven states can be seen from it: Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama.
