The leaves are changing color, school is back in session, and football season is upon us. You know what that means…? Fall is here!

Chattanooga is such a beautiful place with so many great things to do! But, nothing quite beats Chattanooga in the fall.

Events and Festivals to Attend

  • Opera X Candlelight
    Where: Coosa Mills
    When: September 17th
    Hosted by Pop-Up Project, this is the most romantic date night ever- featuring an evening of magic and music.
  • Ironman Chattanooga – Triathlon
    Where: Riverfront
    When: September 25th
    This race, hosted by Little Debbie, features a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run through some of Chattanooga’s most scenic areas.
  • 3 Sister Bluegrass Festival
    Where: Riverfront
    When: September 30th-October 1st
    This annual festival will bring some of the biggest names in Bluegrass to our own Downtown Riverfront.
  • The Sound of Music
    Where: Chattanooga Theatre Centre
    When: September 30th-October 16th
    Join the Chattanooga Theatre Centre as they put on one of the most classic musicals- and see some locals do their thing!
  • Oddtober
    Where: TN Aquarium
    When: October
    During October, join the TN Aquarium in celebrating and exploring the wonderful and weird creatures they have to offer.
  • Rocktoberfest

    When: Weekends in October
    Head on up to Rocky City Gardens as they transform the grounds into a celebratory German festival, with music, food, drinks, and more!
  • Fall Foliage Sightseeing Cruise

    When: October and November
    Come down and cruise the Tennessee River to see one of nature’s most brilliant displays of colors and beauty.
  • Hamilton County Fair
    Where: McDonald Farm
    When: October 1st-2nd
    This fair features three stages of live music, food, games, exhibits, animals, and much much more!
  • Lantern Tour: Ghost Walk Edition
    Where: Ruby Falls
    When: Thursdays and Sundays in October
    Get in the Halloween spirit with a special edition ghost tour through Ruby Falls.
  • Wine Over Walnut
    Where: Walnut Street Bridge
    When: October 8th
    This annual event is celebrating its 27th year, with over 200 wine varieties, local food, and live music!
  • Boo in the Zoo
